Jessica Prifogle, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
Jessica is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with training in a variety of clinical settings including the Evansville State Hospital, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, and Deaconess Cross Pointe. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent several years working at the bedside as a hospital floor nurse prior to discovering her true calling in mental health. She worked on a renal unit through COVID gaining invaluable experience in caring for some of the most fragile and underserved individuals in our community. After enrolling in school, she left the medical hospital behind and entered into nursing at Brentwood Springs where she cared for those undergoing mental health crises and recovering from addiction in the inpatient setting. Upon graduating with her Master’s Degree, she pursued her passion in caring for children and adolescent patients at the highest acuity children’s behavioral health hospital in the state of Kentucky. She has now navigated back across the bridge to join Cady Wellness Institute in providing more holistic, integrative, and personalized care to those in her own local community.
Jessica is an Evansville native who has been living in Newburgh for several years. She is a first generation college student, raised by local tattoo parlour owners. She graduated from Evansville’s Signature School and made her way to NYU Abu Dhabi in the UAE where she completed a year of undergraduate education. From there, she moved to California where she started a family and continued her education at a nearby community college. She then returned to Evansville with her two sons and transferred to the University of Southern Indiana, enrolling in their nursing program. Her family grew by one little girl before she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2018. She then worked as a bedside nurse through COVID all the way up until graduating with her Master’s in Nursing in 2024. Jessica’s family continued to grow as her fourth child and second daughter arrived just after her degree was conferred. Family is at the center of everything she does and she prides herself on demonstrating a strong work ethic for her children.
When she isn’t working, she spends time caring for her small menagerie of pets that she has mostly obtained through being a terrible failure at fostering for local rescues. She loves spending time with her children and husband, having coffee or playdates with friends, exploring new cuisine, writing, crafting, baking, and decorating. Jessica has a passion for learning and integrating what she learns into practice to provide the best quality care possible for her patients. She feels strongly that her job is not complete unless her patients are feeling better, functioning better, and meeting their treatment goals.
