Helping Patients Reach Their Peak
Louis B. Cady, MD, and our team help patients achieve total wellness and optimal performance by integrating mind, body, and behavior interventions.

Our Process
1
Completing your pre-patient forms allows us to understand your concerns and craft a personalized approach quickly.
2
We carefully review your personal, family, and medical history to uncover important patterns and insights. We also review family medical and psychiatric history.
3
We assess both mental and physical health, understanding that true wellness requires a comprehensive approach.
4
Your care plan is uniquely tailored to address your specific needs, goals, and overall well-being.

Cady Wellness Institute is a Wellness Clinic in Newburgh that is fully committed to your health. That’s why Dr. Cady developed and patented the NeuroVitality® Breakthrough—a system designed to help patients achieve harmony with their providers and themselves. He, Margaret Johnson, APRN, and the whole team use what they learn from the NeuroVitality® Breakthrough to inform the care they provide you.
This innovative method strengthens therapeutic rapport and allows us to create meaningful, lasting outcomes in your life. This approach is relevant for all concerns: psychiatric, medical, or aesthetic.
Getting started at Cady Wellness Institute is simple. Patients can request a consultation by phone, in-person, or through our website. You do not need a referral. When you call, you’ll always speak with a real, friendly member of our team, not a robot or mindless voicemail prompts. Our team members will gather your information and concerns, then match you with the right clinician: Dr. Cady or our nurse practitioner, Margaret Johnson, APRN.
For aesthetics concerns, you’ll be matched with Dr. Cady and an exceptionally talented member of our aesthetics team.
Once booked, we’ll email you our new patient form (also available on our website). These detailed forms—specifically tied to your presenting concerns—help us understand who you are and what you need. As you progress in your treatment, we’ll add your forms to your personalized binder that tracks your wellness journey.
At our wellness clinic in Newburgh, we’ll guide this initial conversation to meet your needs with a genuine curiosity for why you came to us. You’re not just another patient to check off a list—you’re someone with a unique mind, biology, and body.
Whether you prefer to meet in person or virtually, we’re flexible. All new patient intake appointments, however, must be seen in Indiana, with your physical presence required, and not virtually.
After we get a sense of your mind, body, and behavior, we can then move into diagnosis and treatment.
At Cady Wellness Institute, we understand that the mind and body are deeply interconnected. That’s why patients who visit us for mental health concerns often benefit from diagnostic tests that go beyond the surface.
We check for hormonal and nutrient deficiencies, exposure to toxins, immune system health, and how your body responds to stress. In many cases, these labs are fully covered by insurance. By assessing these key areas, we can uncover underlying issues that might be contributing to your mental and physical distress.
Most places would call this a “follow-up.” Not us. At Cady Wellness Institute, we’ve named them Therapeutic Synthesis Appointments™ because we synthesize all of your body system diagnostics and your lab values together with your actual concerns that brought you to us. We’re all about refining, adjusting, and enhancing your treatment as we get to know you better.
Each session allows us to offer exceptional, personalized care. This includes integrating all of the biological testing that we’ve done and continuously guiding you toward outcomes tailored specifically for you.
We’ll keep working with you until you’re 100% satisfied with how you look, feel, and function. Of course, some patients keep coming back just to give Kitt, our therapy dog, a well-deserved ear scratch!
These are hands-down our patients’ favorite appointments—where all the hard work they have invested in their mental and physical health takes center stage. Peak Performance Generator™ appointments are scheduled in response to your progress, showcasing the incredible strides you’ve made.
As needed, we’ll adjust appointments, schedule additional diagnostics or treatments, and fine-tune your prescriptions and supplements to keep pushing your treatment forward.
To ensure you stay on the path to wellness, we schedule Wellness Alliance™ appointments proactively. These check-ins allow us to touch base and get the latest scoop on how your health journey is going. If we notice any hiccups or areas of concern, we can quickly correct your course of treatment. We’ll help you get back on track, keeping you with a clear mind, healthy and vital body, and behaviors that serve you.
Inspired by renowned psychiatrist Steven Greben’s insightful article, “On Being Therapeutic,” Dr. Cady has distilled Greben’s core principles for effective therapists and clinicians into seven essential traits:
-
- Empathy and concern for the patient
- Interpersonal warmth
- Interaction with the patient
- Reliability and friendliness
These first four traits may seem straightforward, but they’re some of the hardest for healthcare practitioners to master—especially in clinical settings bogged down by the rush of patients and insurance requirements. Only when the first four principles are achieved is it possible to achieve the last three.
- Ability to inspire hope
- Expectation of improvement
- Capacity to stay positive
Mastering all seven traits—especially the ability to instill hope and inspire progress—takes time, patience, and a deep connection with each patient. At Cady Wellness Institute, we pride ourselves on embracing these principles wholeheartedly. Our team is committed to building meaningful relationships, fostering trust, and creating a space where patients feel supported and empowered.
